Madison Brennan
Co-Lead Logistics

Madison is a recent Honours Bachelor of Science graduate from University of Toronto majoring in Global Health. She works with Global Health Emergency Medicine, as a program assistant, who are dedicated to improving access to emergency health care in low-resource settings. She has a passion for learning about the impacts of climate change on human health and finding solutions within environmental justice that will enable better access to healthcare throughout the world. She has an ample amount of experience within event coordinating and is looking forward to making this year’s GHSYPs Summit a great success.

Matthew Buccioni
Co-lead Programming & Speakers

Matt is a Technical Services Specialist at Virox Technologies, where he works with a team to educate human and animal health communities about biosecurity and infection prevention. He has a passion for understanding the ways in which humans, animals and the environment interact with one another to affect the health of communities. As a member of the speakers and programming team, Matt is looking forward to exploring the field of global health in more depth and learning from students and young professionals at this year’s summit.

Enara Iturregui

Enara is a third year Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior undergraduate student who is excited to work with a diverse group of SYPs sharing her interest in global health. She’s especially interested in the social and cultural aspects; and stigma which impact healthcare accessibility. Enara looks forward to discovering more about the global health field at this year’s GHSYPs Summit.

Sakshi Mehta
Lead Communications/ Design

Sakshi is the Communications/Design and Website Lead for the GHSYPs Summit and is excited to be applying her skills in planning an event that contributes greatly to her professional interests. Specifically, she believes that international health management, Women and Child Health, and Mobile Health are areas of work that lack attention in the world today and should be pursued further in order to foresee a change in health worldwide.

Kayla Miguez
Co-Lead Programming and Speakers

Kayla is a Common Law and Civil Law student at McGill University. She is particularly interested in access to health care for Canada’s rural and remote communities, and is currently doing work in this field at the University of British Columbia. Kayla is looking forward to promoting the interdisciplinary nature of GHSYPs, by helping bring together individuals of varied professional backgrounds to learn about and collaborate on current global health issues.

Priscilla Panga

Priscilla Pangan joins the 2019 Planning Committee as Logistics Co-Lead. Priscilla is a Project Officer at the Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH), an Ottawa-based NGO working to promote health equity worldwide. In this role, she supports international projects focused on health systems strengthening and maternal and child health. Priscilla is excited to connect with SYPs from all backgrounds and disciplines at this year’s Summit, and learn from the different perspectives everyone brings to global health field.

He is interested in issues of health equity, implementation science and program evaluation and how they contribute to effective global health programs for marginalized communities.

Amanda Stypulkowski

Amanda is a recent Master of Public Health graduate from McMaster University. She currently works at Trillium Gift of Life Network as a Project Analyst where she supports policy and program initiatives within Ontario’s kidney transplant program. Amanda is excited to collaborate with the GHSYPS team as the Fundraising Lead and learn more about current global health issues.

Arly Sutton

Arly completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University, where she majored in Honours Psychology and minored in Anthropology. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health at McMaster University. Her research interests include health promotion, mental health, and sexual health.  She is excited to be working on the GHSYPHS team this year and learning more about current global health issues.

Hunster Yang

Hunster is a recent Master of Science in Global Health graduate, with a specialization in Globalization and Equity. With passion for working at the intersection of health equity, community engagement, and social justice, he is currently serving as Director of Internal Affairs at the Institute for Youth Health and Development (IYHD). Hunster is incredibly excited to be working with the GHSYPS team this year to host an engaging atmosphere that allows for collaboration among the future leaders in global health.
